Anthony Fox files lawsuit
SUMMARY: Former Jackson police officer Anthony Fox, who was recently released from prison after his conviction was overturned, has filed a lawsuit against the state of Mississippi seeking $50,000 in compensation for wrongful incarceration. Fox was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the 2019 death of George Robinson but the appeals court ruled there was no credible evidence to support his conviction. Fox is requesting a jury trial and the case has been assigned to the same judge who presided over his criminal trial. Fox now works as a canine officer with the Clinton Police Department.
