Search for suspect continues in Covington County

SUMMARY: are patrolling neighborhoods near Sumrall in search of a man who escaped custody after a traffic stop yesterday afternoon in Covington County. The man, Antwan Loftin, is wanted by enforcement and charged with manslaughter in connection to a deadly shooting in another county last year. Loftin was found with in his car after tried to arrest him. Anyone with information on Loftin's whereabouts is asked to call the Covington County Sheriff. Officers are now patrolling the Rock Hill and Gates Bridge . Sheriff Perkins says the threat has been eliminated for now.
