Ole Miss announces Chris Beard as head basketball coach

has officially announced Chris Beard as the 's next head 's basketball coach.

Beard, a four-time conference coach of the year and 2019 national coach of the year, has compiled a 237-98 record in 12 years as a college head coach and has appeared in the five times, a to the championship in 2019 as Tech's head coach.

“We are to welcome Coach Beard and his daughters, Avery, Ella, and Margo, to the Ole Miss ,” Ole Miss Athletics Director Keith Carter said. “We thoroughly evaluated a number of outstanding candidates, and there is no doubt Coach Beard is one of the top coaches in the nation. After conducting due diligence and speaking to a number of individuals on and off the court, it was evident he is the right person to guide our team to greatness.”

SUMMARY: Child Abuse Awareness Month is recognized in April to bring attention to the issue of child abuse in America. Noxubee County Child Protection Services organized a rally and resource fair in Macon to educate the community about the signs of abuse and neglect, as well as how to it anonymously. The aimed to make people aware of preventative measures to protect and vulnerable adults. The Social Service Team Leader emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of children, who may not always have a voice in abusive situations.
