Baptist North Mississippi CEO announces retirement, replacement named

Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi's , Bill Henning, has announced plans to retire on May 26, and his successor has been named.

Henning, who took over as chief administrator in 2013, led construction efforts of the new Baptist North Mississippi facility in Oxford, which opened in 2017.

“Bill Henning has achieved outstanding during his decade at Baptist North Mississippi, leading construction of the new hospital, which has perhaps been the greatest and most important in the hospital's history,” Dr. Paul DePriest, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Baptist Memorial Care said. “I am grateful for his leadership, and he will be greatly missed, but I wish him well on this exciting new phase of his .”

Brian Welton, CEO of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Crittenden, Ark., has been appointed to take over as Henning's replacement.
