MSDH moves to revoke license of medical marijuana testing facility
SUMMARY: The Mississippi State Department of Health has announced its intent to revoke the license of the medical cannabis testing facility, Rapid Analytics, LLC. The decision comes after an investigation revealed significant deviations from regulatory standards and approved procedures between December 21, 2023, and February 9, 2024. The agency stated that Rapid Analytics' disregard for regulatory compliance poses a threat to public health and welfare. The company has the right to appeal the decision within 20 days, and failure to do so will result in the revocation of its license. Rapid Analytics tests about 70% of the state's medical marijuana products, and mass re-testing is currently underway.
