How to apply for 2024 Pelahatchie Bay Alligator Season
SUMMARY: Hunting season starts in February with a two-person permit partnership application. Both partners must submit an application. Applications are available from 10:00 a.m. on February 1st through 10:00 a.m. on February 8th. Winners will be notified at noon on February 13th and February 21st. Terry police chief hosts meet and greet for residents
SUMMARY: Residents in Terry had the chance to hear from Police Chief Anthony Moore about improvements being made to the city's Police Department during a meeting hosted by elected officials. Salvation Army's Pathway of Hope program changing lives locally

MCC Early Orientation
SUMMARY: Meridian Community College recently held an orientation for potential and incoming students, with a focus on the Honors College and other honors programs. The orientation included sessions for both students and parents, a campus tour, and lunch. While the event was honors-focused, there were still opportunities for all students to learn about the campus and meet with advisors. Parents were encouraged to attend to feel more comfortable sending their children to the college.
