New Additions to the Mississippi Aquarium
SUMMARY: Welcome to WJTV where the aquarium is launching a new season with the expansion called Changing Tides, sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union. The expansion adds 7,000 square feet of indoor exhibition space featuring three different biomes: kelp forest, coral reef, and rainforest. The rainforest section includes unique species such as Madagascar hissing cockroaches, which are an essential part of the ecosystem. These roaches clean up decomposing organic material and serve as prey for other animals. The hissing serves as a form of communication. Overall, the new expansion showcases a diverse range of species and their interconnectedness.

River Avenue bridge opening bumped back by supply chain delays
SUMMARY: The construction of the River Avenue Bridge in Forest County has faced delays, originally scheduled for completion in mid-April but now uncertain. The County Engineer and Board of Supervisors revealed that construction company TL Wallace faced difficulties with guard rail installation, causing delays. However, this issue has been resolved, and crews are now working on finishing the decks before applying a final layer of asphalt. TL Wallace assured the board that the bridge should be complete or near complete by the following week. Commuters will have to wait a little longer before the River Avenue Bridge is open for use.
