USM’s DuBard School holds annual ‘Friend-raiser’
SUMMARY: The Dubard School for Language Disorders celebrated some of the community members who have been involved with the school over the years. Trey Howard, who attended the event, talked to some of the award winners about their involvement with the school. The event, which had a speakeasy theme, aimed to raise awareness about the school's mission. The award winners included Jim Keith and Charlie Banks, both of whom have been affiliated with the school for more than twenty-five years. The fraternity Phi Kappa Tau was also recognized for being the first fraternity to get involved with the school. The fraternity has planned various events for the kids, such as trunk-or-treat and Easter egg hunts. Faculty at the Dubard School help prepare children with learning disabilities for their general education curriculum, and the leaders expressed gratitude for the community support.

Belhaven residents concerned about sinkhole
