How Can I Help?
SUMMARY: The director of the Children's Center at the University of Southern Mississippi discusses the therapy programs they offer for young children with disabilities, including speech, physical, and occupational therapies, audiology, vision therapy, and social work support. They start working with babies and prenatal diagnoses and rely on public awareness, social media following, and fundraising to support their programs. The Children's Center is a beneficiary of the Hattisburg half marathon and encourages participants to raise funds for their charity. The funds raised help provide more support to young children and families in need of early intervention services. The Children's Center is celebrating their 50th anniversary and invites the public to visit their location in Hattisburg or Long Beach, Mississippi to learn more about their services. They encourage people to follow them on social media and share their success stories to raise awareness about the importance of early intervention services for young children with disabilities. You can find more information about the half marathon and how to support the Children's Center on their website or social media pages.
Hey Pine Belt, today we are talking to Sarah Myers with The Children's Center for Communication and Development. Myers wants your help getting the word out about the Hattiesburg Half Marathon.
