Former Bruce police officer to spend 10 years in prison for child pornography

SUMMARY: Corey Harrelson, a 48-year-old former officer and volunteer firefighter from Bruce, will serve 121 months in prison for child pornography possession. Harrelson's computer files contained explicit images and of over 80 known minor victims, some prepubescent. After his prison term, he will have five years of supervised release and is ordered to pay $28,000 in restitution to the victims. Lawmakers send new K-12 funding formula to Gov. Reeves

Investigation underway after gun found in backpack of Ridgeland High School student
