Vicksburg couple facing charges in connection to fire that killed elderly man
SUMMARY: Carolyn Mansfield and Albert Thomas from Vicksburg are facing murder and arson charges following the death of 75-year-old Ernest Gleese in a house fire. Mansfield, who argued with Gleese about drugs, confessed to starting the fire. Thomas, her boyfriend, is accused of being an accomplice. Mansfield's bond is set at $1.75 million, and a warrant is out for Thomas. State Fire Marshal Supervisor Kevin Butler led the investigation, with assistance from Vicksburg's fire and police departments.
