Body found in Pearl River confirmed to be missing Jackson man

SUMMARY: The body of missing Belhaven man Dau Mabil was found in the Pearl in Lawrence County. The autopsy did not show any signs of foul play, but further testing is pending for an official determination. Mabil was last seen in in March 2024. Mississippi lawmakers running out of time to pass Medicaid expansion

He chose a career in physical and recreational therapy, inspired by his own disability. Johnson plays the trombone with the Sonic Boom of the South and pursued his studies at JSU. Despite challenges, he remains determined and will graduate on May 4. Johnson was born with tibial hemimelia and his mother made the to amputate his legs. Grateful for her choice, Johnson believes it shaped a different, more positive future for him.
