Free haircuts provided to veterans in Tupelo

Haleyville, Alabama man killed in crash Thursday evening
SUMMARY: On Thursday evening in Franklin County, a Haleyville man, Lee Don League, was killed after his pickup truck left the roadway, hitting a ditch, fence, culvert, and then a tree. The accident occurred about 6 miles northeast of Haleyville on Franklin County 6 near Franklin County 69. League was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol division is investigating the incident.

Roll-Off Dumpster Day returns
SUMMARY: The Annual Pick Fest concludes tonight at 7 PM, so there's still time to enjoy the festivities. The City of Jackson organized Roll-Off Dumpster Day today, allowing residents to dispose of old furniture, small appliances, and other items. If you missed it, the city hosts Roll-Off Dumpster Day every second Saturday at the old Dillard's parking lot of the Metro Center Mall.
