Woman accused of dragging Gulfport police with vehicle
SUMMARY: Gulfport police arrested 20-year-old Dangel Mae Octavia Wills for dragging two officers with her vehicle after a disturbance call. She refused to leave her vehicle when instructed, then dragged two officers before fleeing and hitting a law enforcement vehicle. After a brief chase, Wills was apprehended by a police K9. She admitted to hitting law enforcement vehicles and not intending to comply with officers' commands. Wills was charged with four counts of assaulting law enforcement officers and one count of fleeing, and she is being held on a $250,000 bond at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.

State Senate confirms newest members on IHL Board of Trustees
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Senate confirmed four new members of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, including Charles Stephenson from West Point. JPS School Board approves demolition of three closed schools
SUMMARY: The Jackson Public School District Board of Trustees approved the demolition of three closed school sites – Baker Elementary, French Elementary, and Woodville Heights Elementary. CPD urges people to come forward with info on stabbing case
