Roger F. Wicker Center opens at the Port of Gulfport

The center will focus on highly technical research related to the blue , particularly in the area of uncrewed maritime . These systems, controlled from the center, will collect data and study the vast expanse of the ocean. The research conducted at the center will contribute to economic growth in coastal Mississippi by uncovering resources and understanding how human activities impact them. The center will work closely with industry partner Ocean Arrow, which builds the vessels used for research. The coastal footprint of the of Southern Mississippi is significant, accounting for one-third of research and providing high-paying, technical for the region.

NEW DETAILS: Biloxi Councilman Robert Deming III pleads guilty to federal drug charge
