Picayune couple dead after Highway 11 crash; woman and child injured, MHP says
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a deadly wreck on Highway 11 in PE River County involving a 2014 Honda Civic and a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. Lisa Stockstill, 57, and Kevin Stockstill, 63, died at the scene, while the driver of the Silverado, Megan Osley, and a four-year-old child in the truck sustained serious injuries. The incident is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Two people were killed, and a woman and 4-year-old child from Louisiana were also injured in the crash.

SUMMARY: Ahead of today's adjournment, a few bills remain in the state legislature, including a debate over expanding Medicaid in Mississippi. Lawmakers faced a deadline but were able to extend negotiations for one more day. The proposed Medicaid expansion would require new recipients to work at least 100 hours, similar to a requirement in Georgia which is being legally challenged. Another bill would allow Bay St. Louis to use FEMA funds for flood mitigation. The outcome of these bills remains uncertain as the legislature adjourns.
