NASA completes final test firing of engines at Stennis Space Center

Teen charged in death of 14-year-old in Jackson appears in court

SUMMARY: A teenager, John Foote, has been charged with murder for the shooting death of 14-year-old Cameron Horne-Crook in Jackson, Mississippi. During a preliminary hearing, Foote was denied bond. Two other teenagers, Maxle Mooneyham and Siyaski Crawford, were also arrested in connection to the shooting. Mooneyham was charged with tampering with evidence and Crawford with accessory to murder. Woman sentenced for embezzling from Brandon High band booster funds

SUMMARY: Donna Gladney Floyd from Rankin County, Mississippi, was sentenced to 20 years in the custody of the MDOC after pleading guilty to embezzling $45,000 from the Brandon High School band booster funds. She will serve five years in prison followed by five years of probation, and has been ordered to pay court costs, restitution, and investigative fees. Floyd was scheduled to go to trial in 2024 but pled guilty in April 2024. Her arrest in 2023 followed an investigation prompted by the Rankin County School District and Brandon High School officials.
