Moss Point felon accused of taking graphic images of 9-year-old Alabama girl
SUMMARY: Richard Hightower, a 53-year-old man from Moss Point, was already convicted for indecent exposure on a college campus and now faces child sex crime allegations in Alabama. He is accused of taking explicit images of a nine-year-old girl during piano lessons at a church in July. Hightower has a history of similar offenses at universities in Tuscaloosa and Jefferson counties. With a life sentence possibility, this adds to his 1994 felony convictions in Mississippi for burglary and voyeurism. The Mobile County District Attorney's Office is handling the current charges.

SUMMARY: Lawrence Blair Corley IV, a 17-year-old from Mississippi's Gulf Coast, has been arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder after a fatal shootout during an attempted robbery. Corley, along with Temi Lawal and Lorenzo Stennis, allegedly tried to rob a home on May 13. The homeowner shot Lawal and Stennis, leading to their deaths; Lawal died on the scene, and Corley drove Stennis to a hospital where he later died. As Corley was part of the robbery that resulted in these fatalities, he faces capital murder charges, but the homeowner will not be charged for shooting the intruders.
