Moss Point actor uses writer’s strike to teach youth football
SUMMARY: The final day of business has not yet been announced regarding the ongoing writers' strike. This strike has caused a pause on many productions in Hollywood. However, actor Ja'Colbi Rivers has not let this stop him from moving forward. He stopped in Moss Point and spoke with the actor, who says he wants to help make an impact in his community. Gerald McGee, who is no stranger to the entertainment world, is working with youth football in his hometown of Moss Point. McGee says he wants to show the kids that they can achieve more in life. He is also pursuing a career in writing and is currently starring in the movie “Cash Out 2” alongside John Travolta, Emma Stone, and William.
The writers' strike happening now has put pauses on a lot of productions in Hollywood, but that's not stopping one actor from moving forward.

Three coastal cities awarded at least $500,000 for Main Street projects
SUMMARY: Governor Tate Reeves signed Senate Bill 2696, providing more funding for Downtown Development projects along the coast. Nineteen cities, including Bay St. Louis, Moss Point, and Pascagoula, were selected to receive grants up to $500,000. Additional funding from the cities and organizations brings the total amount to $625,000 for some projects. The grants will be used for facade improvements and streetscape enhancements to make downtown areas more accessible and visually appealing. The Mississippi Main Street program aims to promote economic growth in downtown districts, with a total budget of $7 million. Susanna North from Pascagoula highlights the importance of the funds for the flagship District revitalization project.
With one signature from Gov. Tate Reeves, more money is now on its way to the Coast to help multiple cities with downtown development.
