Man shot after leaving Jackson barbershop
SUMMARY: A man was shot outside of a barbershop in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred on Ellis Avenue and the victim was shot in the right ankle as a group of men in the parking lot exchanged gunfire. The 48-year-old victim was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment of a non-life threatening injury. Detective Tommie Brown is investigating the shooting, which occurred on March 16. The victim reported that shots were fired between individuals in the parking lot, leading to his injury as he was leaving the barbershop.

One injured in Mississippi officer-involved shooting after chase
SUMMARY: A suspect in Clay County, Mississippi was shot by a deputy after a chase on April 26th. The driver refused to stop the vehicle, leading the deputy on a brief chase. The driver displayed a firearm towards the deputy, prompting the deputy to shoot. The driver was taken to the hospital, and the deputy was unharmed.
