Harrison County Fire Rescue, AMR respond to log truck accident in Gulfport
SUMMARY: A wreck in Harrison County sent logs rolling out off the side of the road. A log truck overturned earlier this afternoon on Cemetery Road, just south of Highway 53. No other vehicles were involved, and the driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. The road is back open now after crews removed the truck and logs. The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.
The accident shut down Cemetary Road for a period of time while crews removed the truck and logs from the roadway.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: George County vs. West Jones (MHSAA Playoffs) [05/03/24]
SUMMARY: In a game between George County and West Jones, the Rebels faced strong defense in the outfield with Jacob Eubank making a sliding grab to keep the Mustangs off the board. Carson Green of West Jones also made a great diving grab in center field. Despite Andrew Neelen's efforts to limit the damage, West Jones was able to tack on three runs to win the game 3-0. The Rebels put up a good fight but ultimately fell short against West Jones in this matchup.
