Former William Carey track and field athlete sentenced for overseas fraud scheme

Other athletes faced various sentences, including imprisonment and probation, with all required to pay restitution to the affected victims and facing potential deportation. The FBI investigated the case, which was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office.

SUMMARY: A teen, Daveon Lindsey, was denied bond after killing Melvin McNair Jr. at a Jackson, Mississippi, tennis complex.
