Camden man sentenced to 4 years for cashing counterfeit checks

SUMMARY: A 25-year-old man from Camden has been to four years in federal prison for conspiracy to commit bank fraud. Arthur Jerome Eldridge, Jr. conspired with others to print counterfeit U.S. Treasury Checks, deposit them at local , and withdraw funds. Eldridge pleaded guilty to the charges and was also ordered to pay $71,601 in restitution. The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Attorney's Office, the U.S. Secret Service, and the 's Office Cyber Fraud Task Force. Eldridge's co-defendant, Mia Peterson, is for trial and could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

$210,000 worth of stolen agricultural equipment recovered by state authorities
