What to know before you head to the polls on Tuesday
SUMMARY: Mississippi's General Election Day will take place on November 7, 2023. Voters can access the My Election Day portal to find election information specific to their address. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Any voter in line at 7:00 p.m. can cast a ballot. Issues at the polls will be referred to the appropriate authorities. The deadlines for mail-in absentee voting and presenting a voter ID affidavit ballot are November 7 and 15, respectively. Voters must show photo identification at the polls and are not allowed to campaign or take pictures of their ballot. Hinds County has announced a precinct change for the General Election. For election inquiries, contact the Elections Division.
