8/31 – Chris’s “Rain Chances Elevate” Thursday Afternoon Forecast
SUMMARY: A stationary cold front is currently to the south, causing lower dew-points and making heat indices a non-factor. As the front moves north overnight, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected into Friday morning. An area of low pressure forming along the front on the first day of September will increase rain chances through the Labor Day weekend, allowing temperatures to cool into the upper 80s. Though rain chances will decrease on Labor Day, the front will still linger. The first full workweek of September will welcome drier air and mostly sunny conditions as high pressure becomes dominant again.
