8/17 – The Chief’s “Manageable Heat Index” Thursday Morning Forecast
SUMMARY: The weather forecast predicts mild temperatures below average for the morning due to a stationary front keeping moisture south. These conditions result in low rainfall chances. Despite high temperatures in the upper 90s, lower dew points may mean a heat advisory is not needed. Over the weekend, expect heat, with temperatures in the upper 90s and high heat index values likely to issue heat advisories. The week commences with potential tropical downpours due to a disturbance moving north-west. However, by Wednesday, the downpours will reduce to afternoon thunderstorms.
