Dates set for the 2023 Mississippi State Fair

SUMMARY: The 164th Mississippi Fair is set to take place from October 5th to October 15th, 2023. The will feature favorite rides, , livestock shows, concerts, and foods across the 105-acre venue. New attractions and entertainment will be announced soon. Last year's fair saw 519,000 visitors after implementing safety measures such as metal detectors, surveillance, increased enforcement presence, and curfew for under-18 attendees. The measures were implemented an April 2022 mass shooting at the Mississippi Mudbug Fest.

PERS bill set to phase in employer rate increase heads to governor’s desk
