The National Weather Service in says windy conditions will continue of the I-55 corridor with a of thunderstorms expected to the east during the morning hours. Wind gusts up to 40 mph will be seen throughout the duration of the day.

Northern Mississippi

Partly sunny and windy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning as temperatures sit in the upper 60s. Tonight will bring colder and partly cloudy skies with lows in the lower 40s.

Central Mississippi

Mostly sunny skies and windy with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning. The highs throughout the day will be in the lower 70s. Colder temperatures in the mid-40s and mostly clear skies will roll in during the night.

CPD makes Aggravated Domestic Violence arrest

SUMMARY: On April 27th, Columbus responded to a gunshot victim in the 800 block of North Lehmberg. Courtney Stewart Wiggly was for shooting her husband, Daryl Wiggly, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was flown to for treatment. Courtney is in custody at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center awaiting her Initial Appearance. The incident is being investigated as aggravated domestic violence.
