SUMMARY: Strong storms passed through South Mississippi with heavy rain, lightning, and power outages. Debris scattered along Highway 15 in George County and a tree went through a car's windshield in Brandon. In Alabama, a tornado touched down in DeKalb County, damaging at least 30 homes and injuring two people. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported, with officials attributing the lack of deaths to the preparations of first responders and citizens.
