Progress on the Planetarium
SUMMARY: Jackson is experiencing a high number of cases in gonorrhea and chlamydia. The progress on the planetarium is gaining momentum, with city leaders and donors coming together to unveil a virtual floor plan of the new Jackson Planetarium at the Mississippi Museum of Art. The iconic planetarium closed in April 2018 due to a roof leak and interior damage from a 2013 hailstorm. The unveiling of the floor plan signifies a significant step forward in the process of reviving the planetarium for the community.

Some scattered thunderstorms may still occur, but the overall outlook is for decreasing storm activity overnight with a chance of isolated strong to severe storms on Tuesday.
