Private company leases use of A2 test stand at Stennis Space Center
SUMMARY: Relativity Space, a 3D printed rocket company, has extended its lease agreement at the Stennis Space Center, bringing its total footprint at the site to 300 acres. The deal marks the first time a commercial tenant has upgraded a legacy test stand at Stennis. The company plans to invest $267m in the site, creating hundreds of jobs to support the development and launch of its Terran R program. The Stennis Space Center was established in the 1960s and is the largest propulsion test center in the US, last used for engine testing for the Space Shuttle Program until 2009.

SUMMARY: The University of Southern Mississippi Graduate School's Susan A. Siltanen Graduate Student Research Symposium showcased the research of over 70 graduate students on April 18 at the Hattiesburg campus. The symposium featured oral and poster presentations, highlighting innovative scholarship by students. Winners were announced for oral presentations in categories such as Arts and Humanities, Physical Sciences and Mathematics, Social and Educational Sciences and Business, and Life, Health, and Environmental Sciences. Additionally, awards were given for Mentor of the Year, Research Assistant of the Year, and Teaching Assistant of the Year. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to present their research in a supportive environment.
