SUMMARY: A high pressure weather system centered over New Mexico, and a trough stretching from the eastern Great Lakes to Georgia, is influencing the weather in the region. Remnants of previous thunderstorms have moved offshore into the western of Mexico. A cold front from the north should bring cooler temperatures, due to impulses of energy in the eastern trough. While temperatures remain high, humidity should drop. As the progresses, a strengthening trough over the Great Lakes may bring showers and thunderstorms accompanied by cooler temperatures.
