WXXV Student Athlete of the Week: Ladd Scriber and the Pass Pirates

SUMMARY: In 1930, traffic lights were debuted, the World Cup kicked off, and the Pass Christian Pirates football team was formed. Now, after a historic 93 seasons, the Pirates advanced to the third round of the MHSAA playoffs for the first time. Senior quarterback Ladd Scriber and his team are celebrated for turning their record from 1-9 in their freshman year to a triumphant season. New coach Jeff Stockstill’s leadership was pivotal. Scriber, who’s thrown for over 2,100 yards, learned valuable leadership and teamwork skills. As they face Columbia High School next, their eyes are set on making it to Oxford for the finals.
