Officials ask parents to stop using popular pillow due to dangers it poses to infants
SUMMARY: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has warned parents against using OmvedTherapies infant pillows due to a suffocation hazard they pose. The pillows, which contain flexible fabric, loose filling, and flatten easily, were sold online on Amazon and Omved's website from February 2023 to February 2024. Despite CPSC's notice of violation, Omved Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. of India has refused to recall the product. Consumers are urged to stop using the pillows and dispose of them. Health experts advise infants to sleep on firm, flat surfaces without additional bedding, pillows, or crib bumpers, and always on their backs.
