In the 7A state softball finals, Northwest Rankin defeated Hernando 6-3 to repeat as state champions. In college baseball, Mississippi State won against Mizzou 4-3, Ole Miss fell to LSU 5-1, Jackson State won 8-7 against Alabama A&M, and Southern Miss trailed Texas State 7-5. Additionally, RJ Barrett led Tri County Academy to victory in his first year as head coach.

The Jackson Prep dynasty in baseball continues as they win their 7th straight state championship in a game three win over PCS in the 6A MAIS Finals. Tri County Academy sweeps the 4A MAIS Finals and wins their first title since 2016 under first year head coach RJ Barrett.
