Menaceresa's Fifty States Challenge
SUMMARY: An artist duo is on a mission to create 50 murals across 50 states, with Jackson being their 11th stop. They chose Jackson due to its high population. The best part of their journey has been meeting interesting people and experiencing different cities. Funding comes from projects picked up during their travels. They create murals for free to attract paid work. Their Instagram is @MenaceRussa, and their website is Menace. They use European-made spray paint cans with female caps and teach how to create different line thicknesses and shapes. Their current murals in Jackson include Prince, a unicorn, and a mural raising awareness for human sex trafficking.
Menace and Resa of Menaceresa Art join us to talk about their fifty states challenge and the art they left behind in Jackson, MS.
