Mega Millions jackpot grows to $640 million, among highest in lottery game’s history

SUMMARY: The Mega Millions jackpot has increased to an estimated $640 million after there was no winner in the latest drawing. The winning numbers were 10, 24, 48, 51, 66 and the gold Mega Ball was 15. The jackpot will only be given out to a winner who chooses to receive an annuity paid over 29 years, but most winners choose the cash payout. The jackpot is the seventh largest in Mega Millions history. Despite the odds, players continue to buy tickets as the jackpot grows. The last time a Mega Millions player won the top prize was in April.

SUMMARY: The weather in Columbus, Mississippi is warm and humid with storms expected tonight and into Friday morning.
