Man sentenced in death of woman at Economy Inn in Jackson
SUMMARY: Clyde Hawkins, a 76-year-old man, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old Diamond Ducksworth Graham in Hinds County, Mississippi. The incident occurred in January 2022 at the Economy Inn in Jackson. Hawkins was a guest at the motel and was found with the murder weapon and spent shell casings. Graham was shot seven times as she tried to escape from the motel room.
