Local icon Charles “Lala” Evans honored through museum exhibit

SUMMARY: Charles “Lala” Evans, a well-known figure in the Starkville area, was the first black mail carrier in town and the first black bus driver for MSU. Known for his colorful yard called “Lala ” and his in the Needmore community, Evans' and impact are celebrated in the Black Prairie Blues Museum's latest exhibit, “The Lala Experience”. from MSU graphic design department created posters based on Evans and his vibrant world. One injured in Monroe County officer-involved shooting

Vehicle overturns on I-20 West in Jackson
