Local Gulf Coast Chef Competes in National Competition

SUMMARY: Chef Calvin Leipe from , Mississippi, will be competing in the Great American Seafood cook-off in New Orleans. Leipe has been a local chef for 27 years, with the past seven at Island View Casino. He was named the King of Mississippi Seafood last year and now hopes to win the national title. Leipe plans to make a soft shell crab with panko breadcrumbs, shrimp and crab cake, creole cream corn, and a crystal hot sauce for the competition. The will take place this Saturday at the New Orleans Convention Center.

Jackson County Code Enforcement tackling menace properties in Virginia City area of Vancleave

Former Gulfport mayor George Schloegel honored with lighthouse dedication
