Jackson State coach helps fight for diabetes cure

SUMMARY: The women's basketball coach at , Tomekia Reed, is working to raise awareness and funds for diabetes, as her own son was diagnosed with the disease at a young age. Reed turned to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi for , and now she and her son are honorary chairs of the Walk for Diabetes . The money raised from the walk will go towards educational and assistance programs for those with type 1 and type 2 diabetes in Mississippi.
