Mississippi woman accused of stealing $70K in SNAP benefits
SUMMARY: Katrina Harris from Pike County, Mississippi, was arrested for SNAP fraud after receiving nearly $70,000 in benefits by providing inaccurate information to the Mississippi Department of Human Service. She surrendered to authorities on March 26 after an investigation revealed she did not report household income and composition accurately. The case was referred to the Pike County District Attorney's office, resulting in an indictment secured on March 5. Harris turned herself in on March 26. Senatobia mother says two teen daughters wrongfully arrested by police
SUMMARY: A Senatobia mother is seeking justice after her two daughters were wrongly arrested and sent to a juvenile facility in Corinth following a disturbance at a public housing project while police were collecting evidence from a shooting scene. The mother claims the girls were assaulted by police, and one of them may have been injured during the incident. Jackson police arrest man after victim shot in head
SUMMARY: Jackson police arrested suspect Barnett Evans after a shooting at an apartment complex on Raymond Road. The victim, who was shot in the head, was involved in a fight with Evans which led to the incident. After fleeing the scene, Evans was located at a home on Treehaven Drive and convinced to surrender by a hostage negotiator. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
