Man accused of making terroristic threat during Jackson basketball game

SUMMARY: A man was arrested by Capitol police in Jackson, Mississippi after allegedly making a terroristic threat during an intramural basketball game. The man got into a verbal altercation and threatened to shoot several people playing basketball. Witnesses saw him grab his backpack and attempt to re-enter the building, but he was stopped by a security guard. Police found a handgun and the backpack in his vehicle. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jeffery Webb, Jr., was arrested without incident and charged with making a terroristic threat.

11 people become American citizens in Jackson

SUMMARY: 11 new Americans from 7 different countries took their oaths as citizens at the Thad Cochran United States Courthouse, accompanied by their families and friends. One new citizen described the journey as long but is happy to have finally completed the process. Assistant U.S. Attorney Chet Kirkham verified that all applicants met the qualifications for citizenship.
