Mississippi State receivers Mario Craver, JJ Harrell arrested Monday

SUMMARY: Mississippi freshmen wide receivers JJ Harrell and Mario Craver were for possession of marijuana and alcohol by a minor. Both were highly rated prospects in high school. The Bulldog football coach Jeff Lebby released a statement saying they are aware of the matter and are gathering information. The arrests were made based on from the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office. The players, Harrell from North Panola HS and Craver from Clay-Chalkville HS in Pinson, AL, were four-star recruits according to 247Sports. The team has no further comment at this time.

Flowood man sentenced for possessing thousands of images of child porn

SUMMARY: Flowood man Timothy Daniel Steele, also known as Timothy Daniel Gantenbein, was to over eight years in federal prison for possessing abusive child pornography materials. He was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release. Steele, 26, had thousands of images and depicting adult engaging in sex with minor . He pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and was ordered to pay restitution of $324,876.39 to his victims. Steele will also be required to register as a sex offender. The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Flowood Department.
