All shook up? Court battle underway over Graceland
SUMMARY: Graceland, Elvis Presley's former home, faces a public auction due to a $3.8 million loan claim by Naussany Investments, which contends the estate was collateral. However, Riley Keough, Elvis' granddaughter, contests the sale, filing a lawsuit and obtaining a restraining order. Keough claims Naussany used falsified documents to fabricate the loan, which Elvis Presley Enterprises confirmed as fraudulent. The Memphis judge has blocked the auction, with an injunction hearing scheduled for Wednesday. Graceland, worth $400-$500 million, draws over half a million visitors yearly and is a National Historic Landmark since 2006.
