Jackson will host National Folk Festival for three years

Man charged in Natchez shooting that injured two, dog
SUMMARY: In Natchez, Mississippi, an arrest has been made following a shooting that injured two men and a dog. Wesley Douglas, Jr. was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The incident occurred on Walnut Street around 6:00 p.m. on May 31, involving victims Hunter Craft and William Rouse, who were hospitalized, while the injured dog was taken to a veterinarian. The conflict began with a fight between Craft and an unidentified woman, who called Rouse for help. Upon arriving with Douglas, another fight ensued, leading Douglas to shoot Craft. Natchez police indicate more arrests may follow.

Silver Alert issued for 34-year-old Jackson man
SUMMARY: A Silver Alert has been issued for 34-year-old Aaron Campbell from Jackson, Mississippi.
