Highway improvement projects continue across Mississippi
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Department of Transportation is working on several highway improvement projects across the state, including in Attala, Calhoun, Grenada, and Carroll counties. These projects involve bridge replacements and repairs, with completion dates ranging from summer 2024 to fall 2024. Specific projects include replacing a bridge on State Route 35 in Attala County, replacing four bridges on State Route 9 in Calhoun County, and replacing four bridges on State Route 8 in Calhoun and Grenada counties. Work is also ongoing to replace a bridge on State Route 35 over Big Sand Creek in Carroll County, with a detour bridge in place for traffic.
