Hattiesburg woman sentenced in murder-for-hire plot

SUMMARY: Shameka Hall has been to 40 years in prison after being convicted of attempted capital murder in connection to a murder-for-hire plot in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After serving 25 years in prison, she will serve the remaining 15 years of her sentence on parole. Hall was found to have been orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot to kill Ariunna Myers by hiring a hitman, which was discovered by Hattiesburg in November 2022. Hall created fake social accounts to track Myers and wanted to personally participate in the murder because Myers was in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend. She was before the murder could take place.

Two injured after being shot multiple times in McComb

The victims were identified as 27-year-old Marlik Harvey and 28-year-old Domonique McBride, both with multiple gunshot wounds. One victim was airlifted to UMMC in critical , while the other was treated and released from a local hospital. No suspects have been identified at this time.
