One injured in Monroe County officer-involved shooting
SUMMARY: One person was injured in an officer-involved shooting in Monroe County, Mississippi, on April 29. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation responded to the incident where Monroe County deputies encountered a suspect with a knife during a disturbance call. Man wanted for 2023 double homicide in Natchez captured
SUMMARY: Jamionte Davis, age 24, has been captured in Harrison County, Texas, by the U.S. Marshal's Service for allegedly killing two people outside a Natchez night club last year. He has been charged with two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder after the shooting in the parking lot of a club near Cash Savers supermarket on May 5, 2023. The deceased victims were identified as Travione Jones, 19, and Devin Winchester, 19. Two other individuals, Kadeem Conner, 25, and Mark Jordan Mitchell, 32, were previously arrested and charged in connection to the fatal shooting.
