SUMMARY: Access, connectivity, and tools are essential for effective internet usage, especially as many aspects of daily life are conducted online. The digital divide in lower economic communities can hinder this access and connectivity. Columbus Light and Water, in partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority and the Columbus Housing Authority, introduced the ACTNow program to bridge this gap. They provided digital devices, internet access, and training to residents, aiming to increase digital literacy and connectivity. This initiative has helped over 350 people in the community so far. The program showcases the utility company's commitment to community service and addressing the needs of its residents.
